My 10th grade was a pivotal year, my friends. It was the dreaded board year, where we had to face the almighty exam set by the CBSE board itself. And get this, we didn't even take the test in our own school! Talk about shaking things up. So, this was the year I got my first taste of the nerve-wracking board examinations.
But let's rewind a bit, shall we? Picture this: the year is 2022, and I confidently stride into 10th grade after acing my 9th grade with flying colors. To spice things up, I decided to enroll in a school integrated program by Study Vault. It was like having a coaching center right inside our school.
Throughout the year, I couldn't help but feel like I was lagging behind some of the brilliant minds in my class. However, my doubts were shattered when I aced the first pre-board exams(Mock Board exams held by schools), securing a spot among the top 5 students. I even managed to maintain my third position in the class for most of the exams.
Now, let's talk about Social Studies. Oh boy, that subject was a beast! It was a mix of History, Economics, Geography, and Political Science, all rolled into one. But fear not, my dear readers, for my mother swooped in to save the day. She helped me conquer this monstrous subject and achieve the best scores in the board exams. I mean, who needs a superhero when you have a supermom, am I right? Oh, and did I mention that I also took up Artificial Intelligence as a sixth subject in both 9th and 10th grade? Yeah, I rocked those boards too, but I'll keep the exact marks a secret for now.
Now, let's fast forward to the big decision of choosing my stream for 11th grade. Commerce, humanities, medical, or engineering? Drumroll After much contemplation and weighing my options, I finally made the decision to pursue the field of engineering. The idea of designing and building innovative structures and machines has always fascinated me.
I immersed myself in the world of mathematics,physics and chemistry(PCM for short), ready to tackle complex problem-solving challenges. The anticipation of embarking on this new academic journey filled me with excitement and determination. Along with this English was our first language as was compulsory for all the streams. Also I had to take up a fifth subject. Due to my immense interest in Computers I took up Computer Science which I think was a good decision after all.
Throughout my 10th grade, I have actively participated in a diverse range of competitions, including inter-school and other competitions. My competitive spirit has led me to attempt various topics, and I am proud to share my list of victories below.
On 15 and 16 October 2022, I particiapted in an event called MUN i.e. Model United nations hosted by my school Delhi Public School Indirapuram. There I got to become a Delegate of Netherlands in the United Nations General Assembly.
On 19 October 2022, I got to go in an inter-school compitation held at Cambridge Indirapiram. We gave the prelims online where we made a small website using wordpress. On the day of event, me and my partner went for the competition. We were given 2 hours to prepare a website by simple HTML and CSS. We luckily made it got 3rd position amongst 14 schools.
In 2022 around mid-November, I was in Varanasi for a Lakshmi Puja. There I sat in a room giving the exam(UCO Olympiad) without any preparation. I got the result of olympiad at school when I got a medal and a certificate for being the National Achiever of the UCO(Unified Cyber Olympiad) i.e. All India Rank 83.
On 27 November 2022 I went to APJ Noida school from DPS Indirapuram(My School) to participate in the inter-school competition of making a website on the given topic in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Javascript. I prepared the website within the time that was alloted(2.5 hours) but as this was just the prelims, my school(i.e. my project) was selected amongst the best six for the next day, the final round.
On 28 November 2022 I had to pitch i.e. represent my website in front of the event judge talking about the websites design, UI,UX, and responsiveness. I was by god grace got the First rank amongst the 20 schools that participated in that Web development event. It was only me who was the participant for this particular event from my school.
I participated in an interschool competition of Web design but also got an opportunity in the Keynote event on 27 November 2022. I prepared a ppt for marketing a plan of making a Data Centre in Himalayas(It was false marketing). It got selected for 28 November 2022 but I lost that competition(keynote event).
As I now enrolled into a science stream(PCM) I was eager to what lied ahead. If you like, please delve in my 11th-grade section for the journey ahead.
